In Year 7, students might be engaging with novels and newspapers, poems and plays, digital media and dreamtime stories. It’s important to the ºÚÁÏÍø Education Team that every learner feels confident in their understanding and ready to tackle any assignment. We have an ever-expanding bank of resources as well as units ready to support creative and persuasive writing – plus grammar and spelling to give that final polish.

Meet Dr Selina Samuels
Dr Samuels and her Education team developed ºÚÁÏÍø's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.
English Tutoring Program Based on the National Curriculum
Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, ºÚÁÏÍø’s approach to secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy skills with in-depth studies of Shakespeare and essay structure in the early years, and deeper analysis of different texts and topics in Years 9 and 10. Our personalised approach gives you the opportunity to focus on areas you find challenging and maximise your understanding of each topic.

Brandon has completed his Bachelor of Degree in Commerce (double major of Commercial Law and Human Resource and Manage) and his Bachelor of Arts (major of Philosophy) in 2021, followed by commencing his Bachelor of Arts (major of Philosophy, Honours) in the same year. In his final years of school, he assisted his peers with English studies. Brandon likes to work with his students to build a solid foundation in English and Critical Thinking so they are equipped to handle any assignment.

Lily is currently in her second year of a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education (Secondary) at Deakin University. Since June 2020 she has been tutoring year 12 students one-to-one in English and has completed some pre-service teaching. Lily is passionate about helping students develop their key literacy and numeracy skills for life-long use, as they work towards acquiring educational independence.

Weekly learning through live tutoring sessions, feedback & practice
Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?

During the session
